Behavioural Management Techniques
For the last 7 years we have been studying and applying Behavioural Management Techniques. One of the findings of our research related to training is that volume does not equal results. From the 7 years of testing and trying out different approaches we have created a course for delivering the fundamentals of behaviour analysis.
Most people believe they know what behaviour is, they are simply wrong. They fall into the trap of reading a situation, aggregating all the behaviours, applying a label and then trying to adjust performance based on the label. This is a very subjective approach to pople management and it leads to unpredictable results.
The science of human behaviour is objective and data based. We teach your staff how to actually observe human behaviour and understand the consequences that are reinforcing the behaviour they have observed. We then give them the skills to understand how to change that behaviour by changing the consequences.
The model we developed is depicted below (click to see a larger version):
The course is delivered in 7 half day modules over a 14 week period. The course attendees go away each fortnight and apply the learning in both a social/domestic and their work place environments. The organisation benefits by reduced time out of the office whilst their staff gain the skills and language to describe and change what is happening in the local work environment
