About 3 Simple Rules

The 3 Simple Rules

So what are the 3 Simple Rules and where did they come from?

Rule 1 – Tell people what you want them to do.

Rule 2 – Provide them feedback on how they are doing.

Rule 3 – Use data to make decisions about the first two rules.

The rules came out of a conversation with Dr. Bill Redmon back in 1999. He also stressed that robustness of the rules are improved by the quality of the ABC analysis.

The 80 years of research is the work of behaviourist such as J. B. Watson and B.F. Skinner and has grown into the field of Applied Behavioural Science.

Our Value Proposition

From our eight years of researching and customising the application of behavioural science to business change, we have crafted a sustainable approach for organically changing the culture of a business. We have eliminated the exorbitant cost and complexity that is normally associated with change initiatives and created a set of simple techniques that are behaviourally sound.

Our research has validated a set of critical behaviours that will create the environment necessary for change to succeed.

We have coupled this knowledge with a data based approach to identifying those individuals in the organisation who will create the tipping point for culture change. Once identified we educate these individuals so they can apply the Behavioural Insight; what you currently expect people to do versus what the science says you should expect people to do.

Utilising the Behavioural Insight, the leaders are equipped to re-calibrate the environment so people know it is ok to make changes. We have developed a system that utilises appropriate technology to track data that demonstrates the culture is changing. We also have an extensive set of business improvement projects where people have applied the Behavioural Insight to change the environment and impact results related to personnel, cost, quality, time and safety.

Companies that utilise the Behavioural Insight typically realise an ROI that exceeds 20:1.
